Tour: Kalksburg Old Park May 2019

On May 18. i met with Clemens Purtscher and Lorin Timaeus for a Tour of the old private Park of Kalksburg.
The Park was originally planned partly by the Jesuits and the Freemason Franz Mack in the 17'th and 18'th century.
Most of the trees in the Park are over 130 years old.
During the walk we found several interesting species which are shown down below.
Most interesting are the Abemus chloropterus and the three, most likely, new Diptera species of Vienna, the Syntormon pallipes, Tachyptera atrata and Volucella inflata.
Thanks goes out to Clemens and Lorin for sharing their photos on this website.
