This huge Hawk-moth, with wingspan up to 13 cm, is a highly migrant species, which is found around the year in the Tropical and Subtropical regions of Asia and Africa, but also in Northern Africa, the Mediterranean region and Central Asia. In the sommer it migrates high up in Europe and reaches even Iceland.

The Convolvulus Hawk-moth is an excellent flyer and can reach speeds up to 100 Km/h.
