Did you know?: This butterfly is native to South Africa, but is found in many places in Europe?
It was unintentionally introduced in Europe in the late 1980's. It rapidly spread in many southern European regions like Spain, France, Italy, Croatia, Greece and other countries.
It's a pest to Pelargonium und Geranium plants in Europe, because the natural enemies of the species are missing.
Flight Period in Southern France is from March to November. In Spain it flying all year around in 5 to 6 generations.
